The Allan Kaprow
Art as Life retrospective at MOCA at the Geffen Contemporary until June 30th is propagating lots of activities that should get your mojo going. The
calendar of happenings (18 happenings in 6 parts) includes recreations of Pose, Meteorology, Routine and Scales, among others and discussions/debriefings with the participants.
Also- the
Japanese American National Museum is hosting a talk about Allan Kaprow with the artists who developed the Environments for the exhibit: John Baldessari (be still my heart!), Barbara T Smith, Skylar Haskard, Allan Ruppersberg, and Paul McCarthy.
On Sunday, May 18th from 3-5, at the JANM 369 E 1st St, LA. No RSVP necessary.
